Why networking is so great!

Filed under: Traffic Taxis Blog — Tags: , , — David Foley @ 12:53 am

Are you using your time wisely? Are you getting to know the people you work next to?
Whether your just a surfer or just using the TE industry to buy credits. One thing is king. NETWORK.
Take the time to send your downline an email. Take a minute to introduce yourself to your favorite TE owner. Building these relationships is a very important task if you want to newtork. I try to put myself in positions with all different types of people. Mainly because I enjoy getting to meet new people, but I also love to network and build relationships. I owe a lot of my success to my ability to get myself out in front of people and put myself into positions to where I can get the advice I need. It has greatly helped me and it can absolutely do the same for you.
So next time someone takes a moment to stop and say hi or sends you some credits for signing up underneath them, send a reply back…..you never know who is on the other end and what they may be able to do to help you succeed.

Regards,
David Foley

Why Use a Custom Splash Page?

“Why would I pay to have a unique custom designed splash page created when most websites provide free splash pages for promotion?”

I hear this question frequently, and it is a great question! I love this question because it gives me the opportunity to open someone’s eyes to the HUGE potential and necessity of custom splash pages.

Ask yourself:

  • How many times have you seen the same old standard splash pages while surfing?
  • Do these pages grab your attention, or do you even notice them at all?
  • When you see the same page for the 200th time that day, does it really inspire you to join that site or inquire about that product/service?
  • Do you know who is promoting that splash page and if their opinion is valuable?

My personal answers to the above questions are no, no, no, and NO!

We all know as surfers (myself included) it is very hard to grab our attention! We surf for maybe hours daily, and we see the same splash pages over and over and over and… well you get the idea. :) Many people don’t even see your standard splash page because they surf a few traffic exchanges at a time and are concentrating on matching correct surf images or hovering to get to the next site!

Consider the following:

  • If you use the splash pages provided by any given site, you are NOT promoting what you love best about that program! You are promoting what the owner of that website views as the best features/benefits. YOU use the program. YOU know firsthand what is great about it!
  • By not using a custom designed splash page for promotions, you are letting someone else decide how to market your campaign! You are leaving the success and or failure of your campaign in the hands of someone else.
  • If you aren’t inspired by the same old splash page you’ve seen 100 times over, most likely, other people are not going to be any more excited than you are to see it. :) A custom designed splash page is much more likely to give that “Oh wow, what is that? I need to check it out now!” response that you are seeking.

Sure, you pay $20-30 for a unique custom designed splash page. But the value of branding yourself, having a splash page in your arsenal that NO ONE else will EVER have, being able to specifically tailor how you market your website, product, and/or service to others, and having full control of your of your own marketing potential is absolutely priceless!

How to get people to opt in!

Well in addition to the post about splash pages. You will find that building an opt in/squeeze page can be highly effective when you are using custom graphics. Combine that with good ad copy and you will quickly start to see an increase in sign ups and sales.
Make sure that you are using an auto-responder such as Aweber. It’s powerful functions allow for you to get the most out of your campaigns. Promote your opt in page/squeeze page in places where you can get lots of veiwers. Remember, someone needs to see your ad as many times as possible. It’s proven that it take the average viewer to see your ad almost 7 times before they will even think about clicking on it. So utilize large member exchanges and very active traffic exchanges like Traffic Taxis, for maximum results!

Importance of Splash Pages

Filed under: Traffic Taxis Blog — Tags: , , — David Foley @ 12:07 am

I want to really start to focus on expressing the importance of splash pages. We all know that we need to do it. Take a good look around and you will see that the people that are successful are the one’s practicing the art of custom ads and branding.
Let’s put into perspective. You see someone promoting a common affiliate page. It’s the same one you see time and time again. You see it so much that you don’t even give it a chance. You just wait for the green light and then click..it’s gone. How are you suppose to stick out from the crowd? Ask yourself that question and really give yourself an honest answer.
Now think about the kind of pages that grab your attention. Think about the programs you sign up for.
Did that page grab your attention because it was different? You need to start asking yourself these questions. All you are doing when you promote the “common” affiliate page is helping out someone else. You are wasting your efforts to brand someone else. Promote you FIRST!

5 Ways to generate Massive Traffic:

By Mike Allen

Hi, Mike Allen here you may know me from my Traffic-tutor. Here are 5 tips I use to get free traffic:

TIP ONE:

When you have someone at your site make sure you get the contact info. This book is proof that it works. Many people only received this book as a gift for signing up for my newsletter. You can have a list capture and some use an exit popup. The best way to have a group to market to is to capture their email on their visit. Offering a free report or other valuable info may entice them to part with their email address. Make sure that you give them valuable information or whatever you promised because credibility is important. Also if you run a list or newsletter, make sure there is plenty of news and information. People will opt out quick if you try to sell them all the time. Also it is a good idea to give them a gift that allows them to stay in contact with you. You may have noticed my info was on this report. If you need me you know where to find me. Even if you opt out of the newsletter you can still find me with this report that links to me.

TIP TWO:

Brand everything. Do you send emails? I’m guessing you do. Some may be to friends or co workers. Make sure you put a small link in your signature file that tells them about your opportunity and your site. Subtlety is a key here. People want to be coaxed not prodded. As these links get around you may find that you gain business. People who trust you are likely to check out what you are doing.

Or if its html you can put the words and the url as a hyperlink…

TIP THREE:

Traffic Exchanges can provide some traffic. There are many good ones out there such as Traffic Splash or Traffic Taxis. Ideally if you are promoting something that can make the journey simpler for them then you can get them to visit. They are clicking like mad just like you, but if you are selling a book or report that can make those clicks count then you have your sale.

TIP FOUR:

Write something. You can post articles at ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com, and as long as long as they are informative they can link back to your main page of your own website. These can help bring targeted traffic on a particular topic right to your door. This person is already interested and is more likely to buy your related product. This strategy is an oldie but a goodie. It lends you credibility and increases your cashflow. It’s like writing your own paycheck.

TIP FIVE:

Be viral. Whatever you do don’t do it unless you do it big. Sell something you write, and have links back to yourself. Hand it out or sell it and give away the resell rights. As people are giving away your work they will be sending leads to you, and maybe making a profit for themselves. This is a valuable way to multiply your efforts.

These have been some quick tips to increase short range hits. Some may have long lasting effects. What I really suggest to anyone is to get a mentor. My mentor is Ewen Chia, a marketer since 1997. He’s highly successful and making me so too. What you need is simple step by step information that anyone can follow. He’s a great teacher when it comes to that. I highly suggest that you look at his Autopilot Profits program. It will help you succeed online right away if you put in the focused effort.

Best of luck to you

Ray Casey (firerider)

Hats off to Ray Casey!! Not only has he taken the necessary steps to “brand” himself, but he also succeeded in recognizing the importance of using custom splash pages. This man’s approach is a perfect example of what needs to be done. I cannot stress it enough….Brand Yourself!

Get In!

Welcome To The Traffic Taxis Blog!
It seems that no matter which way one turns, we are always being reminded of the saying, “the money is in the list”. I know how hard it is to get a solid grasp on that concept. I had so many unanswered questions myself. I searched high and low. I googled every single keyword I could think of to help find the answers.
Throughout my search, and believe me it was a long one. I bought my fair share of the “Make Millions” ebooks. I tried everything. It’s a common misconception by some that you can make a million dollars overnight. There is no such thing as a “just set it and forget it” system. Internet Marketing is an extremely demanding job. It requires a lot of patience and a lot of work. Yes I said it, work! But, with the proper discipline and technique, making a comfortable living online, is very achievable. Let’s start with a few of the basics.
I’m sure that what I just mentioned above will shy some people away. Like I said before. Internet Marketing is work.
